We are proud to announce that our concert on 6th December went very well indeed. With lots of help from many wonderful people (name checked below) we created a lovely calm atmosphere and put on a concert that, judging by the feedback we got, was really well received by all. Our raffle raised £51 for UNHCR’s Syria Emergency Fund, and our ticket sales helped our orchestra members with their tuition costs so that they can carry on learning the harp.
So much work went into the concert, and we hope this was plain to see. We are so proud of our members achieved – especially as only two of the harpists have been playing longer that 4 months. Watch this space to see where we go from here!
Here are a couple of songs from the concert. Away in a Manger
Morwenna and Creag would like to say a huge thanks to our harpists Chandria, Josie, Kathryn, Lee, Lindsey, Linhwei and Yasmin. You’ve all come so far in such a short space of time, we’re really impressed. Also a big thanks to our guest musicians Bou, Elizabeth and Joe. You all sounded fantastic an added an extra dimension to our music. Finally a big thanks to our parents Bou, Duncan, Joy and Sue for helping put the whole thing together, and to Django for overseeing the whole thing.
