Learn to Play the Harp the Hands On Way - A year of weekly lessons
We think that the traditional way to learn to play harp, i.e. weekly or fortnightly lessons, is not only unnecessarily expensive, but also not the best way to learn.
What will you learn with the Hands on Technique & our Hobby Harpers Year?
- A YEARS WORTH OF WEEKLY LESSONS
- HOW TO TUNE & HOLD YOUR HARP
- WHAT LEVERS DO (if you have them)
- LEFT HAND SHAPES IN THREE VARYING LEVELS
- BASIC TECHNIQUE & HANDS POSITIONING
- A NEW TUNE EACH WEEK for a YEAR
Here's Morwenna, your tutor, to introduce the Hobby Harpers Year
The lessons are really simple, it's all broken down into easily digestible parts like this:
The Hobby Harpers Year is here for the hobby harpist!
We aren’t aiming for the Albert Hall but for fun and enjoyment!
Through these lessons you can learn a new tune with each lesson, with three varying levels of difficulty to match your growing skill level.
The lessons offer the chance to just enjoy learning to play. No pressure, no over-complication, we like to keep it simple and enjoyable.
You don’t need any prior musical knowledge or even how to read sheet music. We don’t really use sheet music, though we can provide links to where to obtain sheet music for most pieces if you wish to have it. Our teaching method is hands on. We teach, you copy. It’s as simple as that!
So, if you have always fancied a go at learning the harp, but worried about it being this big serious endeavour, fear not. Hands on Harps has got you covered. We offer a relaxed hobbyist approach to this beautiful instrument.
